If you haven’t heard of Eric Worre, he runs an awesome blog about network marketing at NetworkMarketingPro.com. A few years ago he paid Gray Vaynerchuk 10,000 dollars for a couple of hours of gary’s time. If you see what Eric has done with his site, you’ll see that it was worth every cent to him. I just have one question for you Eric: Why haven’t you listed your blog on Blogirific.com yet? hehe
Here’s the interview with Gary Vaynerchuck:
What did I get out of this interview except that Gary Vaynerchuk is the man? Here are my notes:
- Follow your passion and cash in on it.
- Don’t chase cash because you’ll lose in the end.
- Be authentic because you can’t hide nowadays.
- Brand yourself.
- Use social media to connect with lots of people and build your personal brand.
- Legacy is greater than currency.
- It’s not about creating a landing page and SEO’ing the shit out of it. That’s not a real business. Oprah doesn’t care about SEO.
- Really hard work and have passion. Work 10-15 hours a day. It won’t come quick and it won’t come from being lazy.
- Differentiate.
- Create content on a consistant basis.
- You need to hustle. This space (Internet) attracts non-hustlers. If you hustle, you already have an edge.
- You’re going to have to work your face off. If you want to watch Lost, don’t whine that you haven’t “made it”.
- Patience, the marathon, the soft sell is what makes a lasting business.
- You’re priorities should be love your family, work your face off and work at your passion – do something you love.
- Take what you consume, split it in half and produce and you win.
- Price of entry is minimal.
- Have a big dream. Gary’s dream is to own the New York Jets. What’s your big dream?
- For an entrepreneur, your religion should be your ambition.
- You have to be patient and don’t give up.
- You have to be the hungriest and patient person combined.
- Do your best to become an expert. You have to become known for something.
- Never stop learning.
- Tell a story. Storytellers win. Every brand, personal or consumer has to tell a story.
- Unless it’s severe, don’t whine about anything.
- Why building a brand through Social media is crucial to professional survival and advancement no matter what your field. Doesn’t matter if you’re a garbage man or a real estate agent, you gotta build a brand.
So what are you waiting for? Go follow your passion. Now! And don’t forget to list your new blog on blogirific.com!
